Today Vejle has almost 56,000 inhabitants, and it is a bustling and thriving city. For many years Vejle has been known for companies such as Gumlink (Dandy) and Tulip, but the city also has a very active cultural life. The pedestrian area with its international specialty shops, the Ecolarium, museums, cafés and restaurants is a good point of departure for tourists from home and abroad.
